Emergent Coalition Auction — individuals submit sealed bids independently, with no pre-coordination. The algorithm identifies compatible bids and the winning coalition forms organically through the market mechanism. This is what Direct means: no prior arrangement — the group emerges directly from the bids. Single clearing price p*, no front-running, truthful bidding is dominant.
Secondary market for DFA winners — after a DFA closes, coalition members hold tokens they may wish to trade. BDA provides the venue, and can also operate autonomously. Unique property: Double Truthfulness — both buyers AND sellers simultaneously have dominant strategies to reveal true values. No other double auction achieves this.
